How you Apply for Seasonal Worker visa (Temporary Work)

You can apply for a Seasonal Worker visa to come to the UK and work. However, keep in mind that you must apply for poultry Seasonal Worker visas by 15 November each year. On the other hand, you can apply for horticulture Seasonal Worker visas at any time throughout the year. It’s important to note that this visa has replaced the Temporary Worker Seasonal Worker visa (T5), offering an updated pathway for workers seeking temporary opportunities.

Skilled Worker visa in the UK

Requirements for a Seasonal Worker Visa:

  • You must be 18 or over age.
  • You must have a certificate of sponsorship reference number from your UK sponsor.
  • The Certificate of Sponsorship must have been issued by a sponsor who.
  • (a) is listed as A-rated on the Home Office’s register of licensed sponsors; and
  • (b) has an endorsement from the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs in relation to the Seasonal Worker route; and
  • (c) is licensed by the Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority.
  • You must have enough money to support yourself in the UK.
  • You must have been paid at least the minimum wage by your employer subject to position and SOC code of your job.

Visa Duration:

You can stay in the UK:

  • up to 6 months for horticulture work.
  • from 2 October to 31 December each year for poultry work.

You can enter the UK as soon as your visa is valid (up to 14 days before the start date of your job).

Restrictions:

You cannot switch to a permanent job, or work in a second job in the UK.

Settlement:

This is not a route to settlement.

Partner and children:

You cannot bring your family members with you.
